Meet Mo & Joe!

“Mo” is Molly Lane, a Jamesville-DeWitt native who’s been a marketing/communications pro for virtually her whole worklife. Mo started reading pretty much in utero, and has wanted to open and run a bookstore for many years. She’s a great comic and mimic, social media maven and dog lover, too.

“Joe” is Molly’s partner and spouse, Joe Cortese, who hails from Binghamton (where he ran his family’s restaurant as a first career) and later moved to Homer to teach high school social studies. He shares Molly’s love of books, tries to be as funny as she is, and can’t wait to get behind the bar at MoJoe’s!

We’re looking for some kindred spirits and like-minded peeps to work with us. We’ll be working owners — so our employees will be part of the MoJoe’s family.

Our open positions (as of July 1st) include the following. Complete job descriptions and applications will be posted on our website soon:

• Kitchen Supervisor – FT Complete responsibility for the kitchen, menu, and prep workers. Salaried.
• Kitchen Prep — PT Knife work, cooking, dishwashing, etc. with our kitchen supervisor. Hourly.
• Barista – FT Beverages; expedite orders, help bar and kitchen as needed. Hourly + tips.
• Barista – PT Same as above, but part-time. Hourly + tips.
• Bartender — PT Dispense draft beer, wine, cider & other beverages, help barista & kitchen. Hourly + tips.
• Retail — PT Bookselling, merchandising, display building, stocking, etc. Hourly.
